How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity, Psalm 133:1 (NIV).
We have maintained close quarters in 2020 while quarantining, working from home and doing school remotely or hybrid. This closeness contrasts the pre-pandemic norms where we saw each other after work, school or extracurricular activities.
Now, working and attending school within the confines of the same location requires new resilience; resilience that we never thought we'd need in a lifetime. We need additional grace and wisdom as we interact with our loved ones more closely now. Parents are serving as teachers and parents. Lord, please supply every need parents have, whether it's someone to assist with their child(ren) during the day or night or someone to juggle homework assignments for those with multiple children, Philippians 4:19. Please send safe reinforcements to single parents. Don't let us feel alone or burnt out, especially front line workers.
Lord, help spouses gain understanding of the other's needs and frustrations when points of view don't align. We ask You for communication synergy because we know that You love each of us individually. We bless You! Amen!
