Since we finished January-April 2023, I know that we all have experiences that qualify under "whew, I'm glad that I got through this or that in 2023". We may have additional stories about family members or friends.
One verse that touches me every day is Psalm 91:11, "For He shall give His angels charge over us, to keep us in all of our ways."
How many times have we seen this happen in a week or a month? In our family, my daughter was ill and needed to be treated in the emergency room. She was released and is better.
As my husband and I were heading to the airport, the taxi driver was tired and not driving paying close attention to his positioning in the lanes. We needed to remind him to keep us all safe.
My husband had a work problem that required 4 different meetings to convene all the partners and the vendor to review a system. It was perplexing. Finally, the breakthrough came! All points were resolved!
My friend had sad news. Her daughter-in-law passed away and her son and three grandchildren are returning to work and school as family and friends serve as "wind underneath their wings".
A friend came to Chicago for a television show interview. It allowed us time to visit before her appointment. Life has many different circumstances. In each one, look for God's healing, protection, wisdom, and favor as we walk through life.
Keep in mind that each day is a special gift to us. We do not have to have our strength or our intellect. Mobility and health are privileges. Family and friends are bonuses. Work is needful and a bonus when available, desirable, and reflects one's talents.
