Luke 1: 50-53: And His mercy is on those who fear Him, from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with His arm. He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things and the rich He has sent away empty.
Mary, the mother of Jesus sang the verses above noting that God regarded her "lowly estate" and did great things for her. God is doing great things for us too. We pivoted. We encountered things that we've never imagined for a lifetime in 2020.
It's encouraging to know that His mercy is on those who fear Him, from generation to generation. As parents, grandparents and family we are concerned about our offspring and younger people. Yet, He promises to show strength. Isn't this the time that we need Jesus to assist us in unfamiliar areas?
He fills the hungry with good things. What do you need filled in your life today? Tell Him.
Those who are rich, who don't recognize their need(s), He sends away empty.
Dear Lord, please help us hunger and thirst for righteousness, so we can be filled,
Matthew 5:6.
Only You can quench the feelings of loneliness, sorrow, grief, disappointment, trouble and home or job loss. Only You can walk through the valleys of life with us.
