Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests,” Luke 2:11-14.
I can imagine the shepherds out in the fields, seeing an angelic messenger in the dark. One could feel fear or awe. One could ask why did angels appear to shepherds and not to kings?
Clearly, God wanted the good news to be confirmed by those who would seek the Savior as eye witnesses. Know that God’s instructions are specific (where Jesus was and how they would find Him).
As we face the today’s circumstances, keep in mind that God always has a way out and a way through the challenge. The angels provided a solution that we can use in challenges: Say “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
