Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: the government shall be upon his shoulder: his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
During the Christmas season, I think about the commitment that Jesus had in leaving heaven to come down to earth. He entered the world in a lowly estate; thus demonstrating that He came to seek and save everyone.
He has so many traits! Wonderful/magnificent; Counselor/guide; Mighty God/potent; Everlasting Father/never ending; Prince of Peace/tranquility.
He is magnificent in allowing us breath each day. Those who have suffered with COVID have repeatedly stated that breathing can be challenged.
As a Counselor, He guides us when we ask. After all, He knows the present and the future.
His strength/potency is notable when we are weak. "But He said to me (Apostle Paul), 'My grace is sufficient for you, power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me, I Corinthians 12:9.
I rest on HIs ability to last through (never ending) problems with me and others. We all want issues to resolve quickly. When more time is involved, we tend to grow weary. Yet, He is there still. I recommend leaning on Him during such a time.
Come all ye that labor and are heavy laden and He will give YOU rest. Take His yoke upon you and learn of Him; for He is meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls, Matthew 11:28. There can be tranquil moments indeed!
