Make A Difference!




It is Valentine's Day, and we celebrate the people we care about. Most often, greetings are sent between couples, to parents, children, friends, and office associates. We may even make ourselves a special memory. It reminds me of God's love toward mankind. "God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life, John 3:16.


Love can be a strong emotion or feeling for another person, place, or destination. There are Seven Types of Love: (These Are the 7 Types of Love | Psychology Today)

  • Eros is passionate, romantic love.

  • Philia highlights friendship or shared goodwill because the person is useful, pleasant and rational. This interchange contributes to individuals living fuller, more authentic lives.

  • Storge is familial love between parents and children, especially with younger, dependent children.

  • Agape is universal love; it includes strangers, nature and God. It does not depend upon familiarity. This reflects the unselfish concern for others' welfare. Ministers often refer to this type of love.

  • Ludus is playful, uncommitted, teasing interactions. These relationships are casual without commitment.

  • Pragma is founded upon duty and practicality. one's long-term interests. Shared goals are at the forefront of this connection.

  • Philautia is self-love. It can be healthy or unhealthy. When it is healthy, positive self-esteem emerges. They are resilient, open to growing and relationships. On the other hand, unhealthy views include an inflated sense of status and achievements.

Think about your purpose and your contribution to your life and the lives of those close to you.
