And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing, Luke 2:46-48.
Jesus was lost from His parents for 3 days. One can imagine what the parents felt when they could not find their son. Panic could be the lingering emotion.
Yet when Joseph and Mary found Jesus - He was calmly sitting in the midst of doctors, interchanging ideas with them. He found His place and utilized the occasion to advance His Father's business. He was on target.
So, as we finish 2020 - where will we sit on 2021? Does our plan include a target where God gets the glory? Are we thinking about enhancing our walk with God? Dear Lord, please lead us in this endeavor, in Jesus Christ's name.
